摘要: A number of scholars have drawn attention to neoliberalism describe and theorize the ongoing deconstruction reconstruction urban space. While this has widened interest in neoliberalism, such discussions also deepened its problematic through a conceptual variations – including neoliberal, neoliberalized neoliberalization. This paper will focus on one variation actually existing emphasize contentious volatile nature retailing west Scotland. As part Glasgow's retail-led regeneration, concepts ‘path dependency’ ‘creative destruction’ are used give Buchanan Galleries case study. It is shown that neoliberalism's demand for more space served further intensify intra-regional competition between Glasgow surrounding hinterland. In conclusion, I then offer some critical reflections future research.
