摘要: Abstract Particle packing problem exists in variety of applications such as transportation, packaging, agricultural and pharmaceutical industries. Particles have not always regular shapes this makes the more complex. Understanding characteristics enhancing density granular systems is interest for different In present work, an irregular shape particulate system investigated. The approach applied on anode-grade calcined coke aggregates with aim improving Vibrated Bulk Density (VBD) aggregate recipe which currently used industry. A three-dimensional imaging technique coupled Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulations to model particles. To study industrial recipe, a sample only largest fraction particles were created by DEM. Then, pore size distribution was obtained. New recipes according results distribution. Results showed that modified even lower number fractions hold higher vibrated bulk densities than standard sample. voids tracking method effective tool systems.
