摘要: Acyl carrier protein plays an essential role in bacterial fatty acid synthesis and has been recognized as attractive new antibiotic target. In a previous study using TAP tagged ACP, we identified two ACP binding partners not directly involved lipid metabolism, AidB SpoT, that showed increased to stationary phase. the current project, found increase of stringent response protein, appears be due affinity. contrast, AidB, adaptive expression AidB. Transformation SpoT-TAP strains with pGEX-ACP vectors followed by purification revealed SpoT interacts wild type but mutants neutralized helix II or cannot fold properly.
