摘要: Relatively few instances of sympatric speciation have been reported in the literature, and both theoretical empirical studies this mode remain controversial. Recently, a model less restrictive than earlier ones has proposed. This study presents hypothetical scenario, based on current observations, which seems to be consistent with new model. Two morphologically similar, though ecologically separated, species are identified Dusmoecetes similis (C. O. Waterhouse) complex Marion Island (46° 54′S, 37° 45′E), morphology, biology ecology group. Differences between demands placed angiosperm- bryophyte-feeding members complex, differing bryophyte angiosperm-dominated communities, coupled low vagility high degree assortative mating, suggest that can used explain genus, probably occurred within last 10,000 years. marioni Jeannel D. Similis (Waterhouse) discussed, lectotype designated for latter species.
