摘要: Purpose: The aims of this study were to: (1) investigate the perceptions and experiences predoctoral dental students advanced standing on mentorship, exposure to prosthodontics, future need for specialty, (2) establish a baseline students’ impact prosthodontics salary, personal patient quality life, profession dentistry. Materials Methods: A survey was distributed 494 at University Pennsylvania School Dental Medicine. Questions focused with specialty prosthodontics. total 410 surveys analyzed using Chi Square tests univariate multivariate analysis statistical software. Results: Response rate 83%. positive initial introduction reported by 57% students. Most had prosthodontic faculty enjoyed laboratory work challenging/complex dentistry. greater prosthodontists in perceived 82% respondents, 63% reporting that been emphasized. Students preclinical course directed working clinic (p < 0.006) as having biggest their desire pursue training or career 3.4% 1.7% them pursuing Enjoyment providing care most important factor those who decided postgraduate training.
