摘要: Limited treatment options are available for HIV-infected paediatric patients that virologically failing combination antiretroviral (cART). This paper describes the use of lamivudine monotherapy (LM) as a holding strategy short-term specific multi-drug resistant patients, where definite suppressive cART regimen is not possible. Lamivudine should only be used under close supervision and monitoring an expert HIV clinician.
