摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the formation, transformation, and importance of gaseous hydrocarbons. The aeration status is an important parameter influencing production Under anaerobic conditions or with restricted aeration, methane most hydrocarbon, followed by ethylene, ethane, propane. concentration highest in soils pH near neutral. Ethylene formation enhanced presence high levels organic matter. Methane especially when produced sufficient quantities, can cause crop damage. focuses on environmental factors that affect evolution hydrocarbons soil. Because soil are biological processes, mostly occurring under conditions, any factor affecting physical, chemical, characteristics have influence these gases. Moisture required for activity microorganisms, within certain limits increases moisture content. provides sampling analysis Dissolved gases determined equilibrating a water sample known volume inert noninterfering gas sealed bottle phase hypodermic syringe.
