摘要: Objective To evaluate the functional indications and outcomes for blepharoplasty blepharoptosis repair by assessing preoperative impairment surgical results. Methods Literature searches of PubMed Cochrane Library databases were conducted on July 24, 2008, with no age or date restrictions, they limited to articles published in English. These retrieved 1147 citations; 87 studies reviewed full text, 13 met inclusion criteria included evidence analysis. Results The reported effects treatment results simulated ptosis; several types repair, including conjunctiva-Muller's muscle resection, frontalis suspension, external levator resection; upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Conclusions Repair dermatochalasis provides significant improvement vision, peripheral quality life activities. Preoperative indicators include margin reflex distance 1 (MRD ) 2 mm less, superior visual field loss at least 12 degrees 24%, down-gaze ptosis impairing reading other close-work activities, a chin-up backward head tilt due axis obscuration, symptoms discomfort eye strain droopy lids, central interference position, patient self-reported impairment.
