摘要: Abstract Surface measurements of ozone and meteorological parameters are made at a tropical coastal site, Thumba (8.6°N, 77°E, 2 m) in India from April 1997 to March 1998. Ozone shows diurnal variation with daytime higher levels sharp change its values during evening time. The time secondary peak is found be due wind pattern sea-breeze land-breeze this site. This weakest monsoon period. A detailed study the that nighttime, polluted air land side moves nearby marine region relatively increasing precursor gases. Observations show onset increase rates related each other. If early, rate slower vice versa. Maximum observed March, probably intense photochemical production. However, different when compared other Indian site like Ahmedabad, where maximum late autumn early winter. Monthly average very low (in range 13–22 ppbv) Thumba.
