The use of electronic health records in Spanish hospitals.

摘要: The aims of this study were to describe the level adoption electronic health records in Spanish hospitals and identify potential barriers facilitators process. We used an observational cross-sectional design. survey was conducted between September December 2011, using questionnaire distributed through email. obtained a 30% response rate from 214 contacted, all belonging National Health Service. found be high: 39.1% surveyed had comprehensive EHR system while basic functioning 32.8% cases. However, 2011 one third did not have record system, although some since implemented functionalities, particularly those related clinical documentation patient administration. Respondents cited acquisition implementation costs as main implementation. Facilitators for were: possibility hire technical support, both during post implementation; security certification warranty; objective third-party evaluations products. In conclusion, number that is general high, being relatively higher medium-sized hospitals.
