摘要: To analyze the spontaneous eye-blink rate (SEBR) and blinking pattern in patients with moderately dry eyes during video display terminal (VDT) use. The SEBR of 30 eye syndrome (median age 44.8 years, range 18 – 67 years) was measured using a computer-based analysis system. Only complete blinks were recorded 10 min conversation, initial VDT use again after preceding work period 30 min. In comparison conversation (mean value 16.8 blinks/min, standard deviation blinks/min) significantly decreased (6.6±4.8; P<0.001) remained re-measurement 30 min (5.9±4.6; P<0.001). not different between min (P=0.65). characterized by marked interindividual variability No significant correlation found (either or use), quality (tear break-up time) quantity (Schirmer I test, Jones test) tear film. Typical patterns to be (1) relatively time-independent, irregular pattern, (2) an phase 2–4 shorter inter-eye-blink intervals, (3) alternating periods higher lower intervals. Reduction is primarily determined visual attention, resulting exacerbation symptoms predisposed humans. High distinct may key factors further clarification VDT–eye interactions develop individually designed solutions prevent desiccation
