摘要: Abstract Carcinogenicity of Inhaled Benzene in CBA Mice. Farris, G. M., Everitt, J. I., Irons, R. D., and Popp, A. (1993). Fundam. Appl. Toxicol. 20, 503-507. This study investigated benzene-induced neoplasia CBA/Ca mice, with special emphasis on hematopoietic tissues. Ten-week-old male mice were exposed to 300 ppm benzene via inhalation for 6 hr/day, 5 days/week, 16 weeks held 18 months after the last exposure. There 125 benzene-exposed sham-exposed mice. Malignant lymphoma was a statistically significant cause early mortality Fourteen developed (lymphoblastic, lymphocytic, or mixed) as compared only 2 Benzene-exposed also preputial gland squamous cell carcinomas (60% vs 0% sham-exposed) had an increased incidence lung adenomas (36% 14%). Moderate marked granulocytic hyperplasia present animals, 36% bone marrow 6% spleen, 8 0%, respectively. Interpretation response direct effect complicated by presence inflammation Although inhaled clearly carcinogenic it did not induce leukemia.
