摘要: The archaeobotanical (seeds and fruits) dataset of the northeast Iberian Peninsula for Neolithic period is presented discussed in this paper order to approach how early farmers produced their crops farming spread region. Ten crop plants were identified, including cereals (Triticum aestivum/durum/turgidum L., Triticum dicoccum Schubl., monococcum Hordeum vulgare L./distichon L. var. nudum), legumes (Vicia faba Lens culinaris Medik. Pisum sativum L.) as well oil (Linum usitatissimum Papaver somniferum L.). Two different traditions observed by looking at assemblages (5400–4500 cal BC). It proposed that one group settled northeastern area region chose grow free-threshing cereals, especially naked wheat, while a second central Catalan coast along Llobregat river included glume wheats important crops. These patterns seem survive during middle period, when barley becomes main some sites, maybe due contacts with northern groups. late seems translate into further changes but more investigations are needed. weed available meagre lack indicators shifting agriculture allowed confirming sown permanent fields. concluded settlements must have been sedentary practices effort-demanding than previously thought.
