Contamination Aversion and Posttraumatic Stress Symptom Severity Following Sexual Trauma

摘要: Contamination concerns have been linked to increased posttraumatic stress symptoms. The present study offered a preliminary test of the roles domain-specific contamination aversions in stress. Fifty women with history sexual or physical assault were recruited from community and assessed for symptom severity individual differences mental contamination, direct aversion [aversion normative contaminants (e.g., garbage)], indirect perceived handrails)], symptoms contamination-based obsessive–compulsive disorder.
