摘要: Heavy metals provoke toxicological effects on aquatic animal species, including fish, though their fish leucocytes and immunotoxicology are still limited. In the present work of heavy (Cd, Hg, Pb or As) viability, oxidative stress innate immune parameters isolated head-kidney from gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata) studied. Cytotoxicity results indicated that short exposures (30 min 2h) to Hg promoted both apoptosis necrosis cell death whilst Cd, As did only by apoptosis, in all cases a concentration- time-dependent manner. addition, production free oxygen radicals was induced metals. Cd failed change phagocytosis but increased percentage phagocytic cells decreased number ingested particles per parameters. On other hand, respiratory burst activity significantly reduced incubation with Pb. Furthermore, gene expression profiles partly support functional finding this work. This study provides an vitro approach for elucidating toxicity, particularly immunotoxicity, leucocytes.
