摘要: Objective: To determine the effects of growth hormone (GH) on hepatic acute-phase response (APR) in a burned rat model. Setting: Laboratory. Material: Male Sprague-Dawley rats (weight, 300-350 g). Interventions: Rats underwent 40% total body surface area burn injury and received GH or saline solution daily by subcutaneous injection. Unburned served as controls. Main Outcome Measures: Hepatic messenger RNA (mRNA) expression serum levels α 1 -acid glycoprotein albumin were determined 2, 7, 14 days after injury. Results: The GH-treated animals did not increase 2 whereas saline-treated showed major increase. mRNA increased dramatically day for groups; however, pool faster rate decline to control 7 14. show significant differences, negative APR, indicated loss mRNA, was more pronounced animals. By 14, comparable all 3 groups. Conclusion: Growth attenuated positive decrease production, prevented seen an absence concentration. We conclude that beneficial thermal may be due part modification APR. Arch Surg. 1997;132:1171-1175
