摘要: In the summer of 2005, after eight years use as a temporary bridge during winter, Pontresina Bridge for pedestrians was transported to Swiss Federal Institute Technology Lausanne detailed assessment structural safety, serviceability, and long-term durability bridge. The included visual inspection, quasistatic testing identical that performed in 1997, investigations material degradation. inspection showed variety different local defects damage such crushing caused by impact, cracks due inappropriate storage lifting structure, fiber blooming, degradation cut surfaces, vandalism. Comparisons between load tests 1997 2005 showed, however, safety serviceability have not been affected these damages. stiffness pultruded shapes remained unchanged, whereas slight decrease strength 13 18% measured, which, is critical when taking into consideration high effective factors. view further service period 5 until next visible damages were repaired. This experience primarily constructive detailing glass fiber-reinforced polymer shapes, if correctly manufactured processed, can offer good performance durability.
