摘要: Diffuse neutron scattering measurements on MnSi at temperatures up to 20 TN have been carried out using polarisation analysis obtain an unambiguous determination of the paramagnetic response as a function wave-vector Q. At high Q tends that expected for disordered atomic moments magnitude 0.4 beta per Mn atom (which corresponds moment observed in ordered phase). However small extrapolated zero is consistent with localised obtained from susceptibility measurements, namely about 1.4 atom. On basis variation it concluded this difference arises because spatial correlations between over range of, example, 7 AA TN.
