Rethinking race, revealing dilemmas: Imagining a new racial subject in race traitor

摘要: Questions of race, racism, and essentialism continue to garner academic public attention, often provoking debates about how rethink and/or eliminate race produce new identities separate from racial categories. In this essay, we explore one discourse, a contemporary project titled Race Traitor, that seeks destroy whiteness replace it with treason. Drawing on the insights critical rhetoric, discourse argue productive approach entails consideration paradox, or tension between imagining beyond while still recognizing material reality as fundamental organizing construct. We maintain strategies mobility political solidarity can assist us in navigating paradox.
