Hematology, plasma biochemistry, and urinary excretion of glucose and minerals in dairy cows affected with parturient paresis

摘要: The hematology, plasma biochemistry, and urinary excretion of glucose certain minerals in nine pluriparous Holstein-Friesian dairy cows affected with clinical parturient paresis were reported this study. For comparison, 12 normal from represented herds selected to match age, parity, lactation stage cows. Cows had subnormal rectal temperature, bradycardia, hyperpnea. Rumen motility was reduced all significantly elevated packed cell volume increased numbers leukocytes neutrophils. In the biochemical analysis, glucose, creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, total protein. Plasma insulin decreased calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium concentrations lower than urine no significant changes found between two groups any studied parameters.
