摘要: Abstract The experimental and numerical quasi-static crushing responses of extruded closed cell polystyrene foam-filled thin-walled aluminum tubes were investigated. crash analysis empty was performed using the explicit finite element code PAM-CRASH™. Satisfactory agreements generally achieved between model deformed shapes, load–displacements, fold lengths specific energy absorptions. experiments have also highlighted several effects foam filling on tubes. absorptions in further shown to be higher than sum tube (alone) filler (alone).
