摘要: Some forms of memory have been shown to depend on a system medial temporal lobe structures that includes the hippocampus and adjacent cortical areas (entorhinal, perirhinal, parahippocampal cortex). The role this is only temporary, however, as indicated by fact that, after damage lobe, recent memories are impaired but very remote intact. Here we review evidence involved in process consolidation: initially dependent gradually become established other brain. We then some ideas proposed about phenomenon consolidation suggest synthesis these views. Finally, describe simple neural network model captures key features consolidation.
