摘要: This paper presents representative applications and models that can take advantage of spatially distributed data in a geographic information system (GIS) format for watershed analysis hydrologic modeling purposes. The intention is to inform engineers about the current capabilities GIS, modules, models, provide an initial guide on implementing GIS modeling. also discusses key implementation issues individuals organizations are considering making transition use hydrology. Widespread modules inevitable. controlling factors availability, GIS-module development, fundamental research applicability finally, regulatory acceptance new tools methodologies. will enable progression hydrology from field dominated by techniques require spatial averaging empiricism more descriptive science.
