摘要: Over the range of fracture spatial densities commonly observed in field, existing effective medium models for network connectivity yield inconsistent results because depends on both density and length distribution joints. Field observations indicate that joint lengths often follow a power law distribution. Requiring frequency to decrease with increasing total area joints be finite suggests approximate upper lower bounds exponent which are consistent distributions. The appropriate relationship between is investigated numerically. Results motivate new measure intensity, density, development approach toward closed-form prediction using measurable parameters. Although limited, model predictions compare favorably conductivities networks simulated geomechanical field.
