Characterising Citations in Scholarly Documents: The CiTalO Framework

摘要: The reasons why an author cites other publications are varied: can cite previous works to gain assistance of some sort in the form background information, ideas, methods, or review, critique refute works. problem is that best possible way retrieve nature citations very time consuming: one should read article by assign a particular characterisation each citation. In this paper we propose algorithm, called CiTalO, infer automatically function means Semantic Web technologies and NLP techniques. We also present preliminary experiments discuss strengths limitations approach.
