Effects of SiC coating on ablation resistance of carbon fibre reinforced BN–Si3N4 matrix composite

摘要: AbstractA SiC coating was prepared on the surface of a carbon fibre reinforced BN–Si3N4 composite by chemical vapour deposition. The characterised SEM and XRD, ablation behaviours coated uncoated composites were investigated compared. is mainly amorphous quite compact; ablated area reduced considerably presents lower linear rate 21˙4% mass 51˙6%. covers over pores ablative composite, which prevents flame from spreading to other regions penetrating inside composite. As result, both erosion mechanical denudation are restrained resistance improved.
