摘要: Objective: To find sero-prevalance of HBSAg and HCV antibody among healthy donors Kurram Agency, FATA, Pakistan Material Methods: The study design was cross-sectional. Data collected from blood transfusion units, Pathology departments, donor units at Parachinar Sadda to know the frequency Hepatitis B C in donors. For donations non professional were selected. Questions regarding frequent donation, surgical procedure past other risk factors about hepatitis transmission asked. Screening for HBsAg, antibodies done by using rapid immunochromatography kits. Results: A total thirteen hundred received during a period one year. seroprevalence various infectious markers as follows; Out 1300, 66(5.07%) found be positive surface antigen HBsAg 15(1.1%) antibody. Six both Anti Conclusion: It is concluded that HBV has become major problems FATA like rest country screening not only donation but also general should prevent disease escalation. Due high cost treatment virus infection unavailability vaccine against HCV, main focus on preventive aspects.
