HerEOS: A framework for consistent treatment of the Equation of State in ALE hydrodynamics

摘要: Abstract We propose a general methodology and practical implementation of arbitrary Equations State (EOS) evaluation for Lagrangian ALE hydrodynamic simulations. This approach is based on higher-order interpolations the Helmholtz free energy (HFE) derived quantities. also discuss several pitfalls related to thermodynamic consistency, physical relevance robustness EOS calculations demonstrate them realistic values temperature density. The developed library HerEOS has been tested used in various codes laser plasma simulations, some which are presented here.
