ALE Method for Simulations of Laser-Produced Plasmas

摘要: Simulations of laser-produced plasmas are essential for laser-plasma interaction studies and inertial confinement fusion (ICF) technology. Dynamics such typically involves regions large scale expansion or compression, which requires to use the moving Lagrangian coordinates. For some kind flows as shear vortex mesh however tangles require arbitrary Eulerian (ALE) method. We have developed code PALE (Prague ALE) simulations includes ALE hydrodynamics complemented by heat conductivity laser absorption. Here we briefly review numerical methods used in present its selected applications modeling with targets.
