摘要: The dielectric response of a quasi-one-dimensional system interacting electrons has been investigated. In the authors' model particles move freely in one direction and are tightly bound transverse direction. Calculation Coulomb matrix elements leads to an effective one-dimensional electron-electron interaction nu (q) which is less singular for small q than 1/q2 potential assumed by previous authors. As result, excitonic instability they find even rigid positive background does not arise their calculation. calculations based on approximation Singwi, Tosi, Land Sjolander (1968). expected this approach, pair correlation function at distances remains over much larger range densities that compressibility sum rule satisfied. static negative around q=2kF, suggests possibility charge ordering when allowed be polarisable. If replaced delta -function potential, numerical calculation energy exact solution Yang may made. On comparison with result obtained method Singwi et al. it found approximate scheme gives good energies high densities.
