摘要: Objectives: The objectives of this study were to determine whether a new degradable synthetic barrier membrane (Vivosorb (R)) composed poly(DL-lactide-epsilon-caprolactone) (PDLLCL) can be useful in implant dentistry and compare it with collagen expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) membranes. Material methods: In 192 male Sprague-Dawley rats, standardized 5 mm circular defect was created through the right angle mandible. New bone formation evaluated by post-mortem microradiography micro-CT (mu CT) imaging. Four groups (control, PDLLCL, collagen, ePTFE) at three time intervals (2, 4, 12 weeks). defects covered; control group left uncovered. Data analysed using multiple regression model. Results: could detected 130 samples mu CT imaging 112 samples. Bone progressive weeks, when mandibular covered membrane. Overall, more observed underneath ePTFE membranes than PDLLCL Conclusions: contrast uncovered defects, substantial healing However, PDLLCL-covered tended less or ePTFE. high variation weeks may caused moderate adherence compared collagen. These results indicate that further is needed optimize properties
