摘要: Purpose: The pathophysiology of focal hand dystonia (FHD) is not clearly understood. Previous studies have reported increased and decreased cortical activity associated with motor tasks. aim this study was to investigate blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) signal changes in functional magnetic resonance imaging within the area primary cortex during cued movement individual digits. Methods: Eight healthy individuals five right FHD participated. Beta weight contrasts were examined cortex. Results: In both groups, BOLD hemisphere contralateral moving greater left than right. Between no difference found control hand, but a significant seen movement; specifically, showed ipsilateral response affected as compared individuals. This suggests similar, albeit exaggerated pattern activation on side. Conclusions: These results suggest different levels between dystonic also show relative symptomatic asymptomatic patient population.
