摘要: – The incidence of mass effect indicated by midline shift, and the hemorrhagic infarction were studied in 952 consecutive CT scans with supratentorial infarcts. Hemorrhagic was found 5.1% indicating that during life is far less than suggested from pathological studies. Midline shift 3.6% and, accordingly, chance finding a infarct would be 0.2% if these 2 phenomena not related. However, this appeared to 12 times higher, they are closely In addition, infarcts both related large bad outcome. Cardiac emboli more prevalent patients control series, cardiac do produce often other causes cerebral infarction, embolic cause cannot inferred on CT. This probably also applies carotid emboli. When anticoagulation considered CT-confirmed structures as well decreased consciousness contraindications such treatment. their absence, absence general contraindications, anticoagulant treatment can safely started.
