摘要: Because relatively few caprine arthritis-encephalitis virus (CAEV)-infected animals exhibit clinical signs of illness, efforts to control and eradicate this will depend heavily on a sensitive diagnostic test that can be easily carried out. The currently utilized tests are limited usefulness because low sensitivity or incomplete cross-reactivity goat sera with heterologous antigens. An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) purified CAEV antigen biotin-avidin amplification steps was therefore developed compared radioimmunoassay (RIA) against p28. Of over 500 tested, there 99% concordance between the two tests. On other hand, 23 24 obtained from disease were negative by agar gel immunodiffusion (with ovine progressive pneumonia antigen) positive ELISA RIA. These results suggest an is superior easier faster than RIA, may method choice for diagnosing infection.
