Luminescence spectra of pure and doped GaBo3 and LiGaO2

摘要: The luminescences of GaBO3 and LiGaO2 are reported. former has GaIII in octahedral sites (calcite structure), the latter tetrahedral (ordered wurtzite structure). co-ordination number same influence on luminescence as case oxo-d0 complexes: lower number, higher energy first absorption band, larger Stokes shift, less mobile excited state. broad-band spectra with large shift indicate that nature optical transition involved is complicated. Dopants EuIII CrIII. They characterized by magnetic-dipole emission due to inversion symmetry site calcite. CrIII ion yields 2E at 4.2 K, contrast isomorphous ScBO3 where it 4T2 emission. dopant FeIII which an intense deep-red pronounced vibrational structure.
