摘要: ASYMMETRIC LEAVES2-LIKE11 gene of Arabidopsis is a member the ArabidopsisASYMMETRIC LEAVES2 (AS2)/LATERAL ORGAN BOUNDARIES (LOB) domain family. With exception (as2), mutants AS2/LOB family genes reported so far have not displayed any obvious phenotypes. Therefore, effects mutant asl11 are most likely masked by functional redundancy. To elucidate role ASL11 in plant growth and development, we introduced 35S:ASL11 to plants via Agrobacterium tumefaciens. Data suggest that observed phenotypes might be caused misexpression KNOX triggered 35S:ASL11. However, it possible these generated an artifact due effect production RNAs, which affect expression unidentified members family, includes 42 other unknown genes. The cockscomb transformation systems established facilitate use this species for studies on manipulation expression. here, extend our include additional transformants; namely, report plants. A total 46 T1 were identified polymerase chain reaction (PCR), confirmed assay ASL11-GFP fusion proteins. leaves some (13/46) showed lobed or rumpled patterns. Shoot apical meristems (18/46) pin-like structures lacked organ primordial. malformed ectopic In general, all data indicate ASL11, transcription factor, involved regulating development.
