摘要: The interactions between mesoscale eddies and typhoons are important for understanding the oceanic environment, but large variance is identified in each case because of complex underlying dynamics. Fifteen-year datasets typhoon tracks eddy South China Sea (SCS) employed to comprehensively determine influence preexisting on typhoon-induced sea surface cooling (SSC). Typhoons with high wind speeds slow translation induce SSC summer autumn, when more than 80% occur during a year. relative locations used classify their distributions, four groups identified, traversing left or right cyclonic anticyclonic eddies. Generally, (CEs) located track can result core, (AEs) interrupt band along side tracks. recovery from takes longer 15 days, though AEs rapid rebound after reaching minimum temperature (SST). In addition, dependence SSCs typhoon’s features, such as speed speed, amplified (reduced) by CEs (AEs). enhancement local counterbalanced suppression AEs; thus, overall impacts relatively weak SCS.
