摘要: Purpose Anthracycline-based chemotherapies for breast cancer are well known to have adverse effects and can also negatively affect host immune function. There is therefore a necessity an adjuvant that maintains the quality of life (QOL) function patients receiving anthracycline-based chemotherapies. Patients methods The present study investigated effectiveness concomitant use Lentinula edodes mycelia extract (LEM), oral immunomodulator, with FEC75 (5-fluorouracil + epirubicin cyclophosphamide) therapy on QOL in nodal metastases. Ten metastases surgery were enrolled this study. Treatment 5-fluorouracil (500 mg/m(2)), (75 cyclophosphamide mg/m(2)) was performed every 21 days two courses, LEM (1800 mg/day by mouth) administered during second course. Results In first course, hematological toxicity observed exacerbated. however, number white blood cells lymphocytes did not decrease maintained. Furthermore, cytotoxic activities natural killer (NK) lymphokine-activated proportion activated NK T-cells maintained Conclusion It has been suggested maintain function, offer important implications application as useful
