摘要: To investigate the role played by vagus in release of immunoreactive gastrin, duodenal ulcer patients were studied before and after three types vagotomy. Postoperatively, gastrin concentrations aspiration stomach from 1 1/2 to 2 times higher than preoperative concentrations. During continuous aspiration, decreased significantly all operations. Basal (mean ± SEM), as measured during increased highly selective vagotomy (17 patients) 24 1.8 35 4.4 pmoles per liter serum (53 77 pg ml), truncal (18 28 3.1 43 4.2 (62 95 but not gastric 2.7 33 2.4 73 ml). The mean increase was vagotomy, suggesting that extragastric vagal branches, some action, suppress release. Before operations, intravenous injection 0.2 international unit insulin kg. lasted more hr only moderately affected A persistent response also found 11 with anacid specimens juice hypoglycemia, when different antisera. findings indicate hypoglycemia does depend solely on vagus.
