摘要: During the last decades, improvements in assessment and management of cardiovascular risk have been successful reduction acute cardiovascular outcomes. Among different prevention therapeutic strategies, treatments targeting HDL increase indicated as promising interventions from both basic research clinical studies. Although this approach still requires confirmatory findings large trials, emerging evidence indicates that it would be particularly useful in some patient categories characterized by accelerated atherosclerotic diseases. In regard, HIV-infected patients (under antiretroviral treatment or not) recently an appropriate target population.
