摘要: Abstract HIV-related cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a main cause of morbidity and mortality among HIV-infected persons, despite potent antiretroviral therapy (ART). However, the mechanisms CVD are unclear. Chronic HIV infection state oxidative stress driven by several mediators including per se, bacterial translocation, ART, mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation. Oxidative contributes to oxidation lipoproteins. These oxidized lipoproteins carry lipids that have pleotropic proinflammatory immunomodulatory effects. Oxidized low-density lipoprotein has been implicated in pathogenesis atherosclerosis. states systemic inflammation (such as chronic infection), high-density (HDL) also gets loses its antiinflammatory antioxidant function. This HDL (ox-HDL) becomes proinflammatory, prooxidant, dysfunctional can promote atherogenesis. role ox-HDL remains poorly understood. chapter summarizes available scientific evidence regarding immunopathogenesis.
