Epidemiology of Hepatitis C Virus Infection in ESRD Patients in Khuzestan Province, Iran

摘要: Background: Liver disease caused by hepatitis C virus (HCV) in patients with end-stage renal (ESRD) causes significant morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence HCV infection its relationship ESRD living province Khuzestan, Iran. Materials Methods: In a cross sectional from December 2010 March 2011, entire treated hemodialysis (HD) or peritoneal dialysis (PD) Khuzestan enrolled for study. A standardized questionnaire used collect Social demographic data including cause date onset PD HD. Blood samples were tested antibody (anti-HCV) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA).
