The prevalence of HBsAg and anti-HBs among voluntary blood donors, professional INBTS laboratory staff, haemophiliacs the patients medical personnel three haemodialysis centres was compared. 3.4% incidence found 168,890 donors significantly less than 8.4% 378 donors. higher in male female also single married Prevalence unrelated to ABO-Rh group but related age. Anti-HBs 30% 67% 68% patients, 39% 86% only 4.8% carriers. Subtyping 100 showed 65 were ay; 5 ad; 10 ad + ay 20 untypable.
