摘要: Network analysis has driven key developments in animal behavior research by providing quantitative methods to study the social structure of groups and populations. A recent advancement network science, \emph{multilayer analysis}, structures multiple interconnected `layers', offers a novel way represent analyze behavior, help strengthen links broader ecological evolutionary contexts. We outline potential uses these new at individual-, group-, population-, evolutionary-levels, we highlight their advance behavioral ecology research. This approach makes it possible address classic questions from perspective opens diversity that previously have been out reach.
