摘要: There is no consolidated, integral, quantifiable, granular, updated source of information for the roads we traverse and environment live in everyday. This leads to ambiguity about road conditions, which tolerable during normal conditions but extremely problematic adverse such as snow blockages, water-logging due storms, degraded potholes. Without knowledge, city authorities cannot take effective action against problems. Also, one only has knowledge ones immediate surroundings a car, not what expect further down road. Our approach deploy number embedded modules capable sensing, computing reporting, each can simply be plugged into any vehicle. Hence this enables vehicle's connectivity cloud larger coverage compared static sensors. The data reported by module itself might prone errors. Therefore, crowd sources from these merges it increase confidence information. work, Panoptes, demonstrates aspects through crowdsourced pothole detection roads.
