摘要: Allergic rhinitis is a common chronic respiratory illness that affects quality of life, productivity, and other comorbid conditions, including asthma. Treatment should be based on the patient’s age severity symptoms. Patients advised to avoid known allergens educated about their condition. Intranasal corticosteroids are most effective treatment first-line therapy for mild moderate disease. Moderate severe disease not responsive intranasal treated with second-line therapies, antihistamines, decongestants, cromolyn, leukotriene receptor antagonists, nonpharmacologic therapies (e.g. nasal irrigation). With exception cetirizine, second-generation antihistamines less likely cause sedation impair performance. Immunotherapy considered in patients than adequate response usual treatments. Evidence does support use miteproof impermeable covers, air filtration systems, or delayed exposure solid foods infancy.
