Metastable Phase Formed in Immiscible Cu-W Multilayers by Ion Mixing

摘要: A new metastable hcp phase was observed by ion mixing Cu–W multilayered films with compositions of Cu75W25 and Cu85W15. In thermodynamic modelling, a Gibbs free-energy diagram constructed applying Miedema's model, the calculated results were in good agreement experimental observations. Moreover, restricted kinetic condition involved at far-from-equilibrium is also discussed sliding mechanism for growing proposed lattice constants deduced accordingly values.
