摘要: Counterevidence is provided in the ion-hammering scenario as a driving force for shape elongation of embedded nanoparticles (NPs) under swift heavy ion irradiation (SHII). Ion-induced compaction and hammering, which are both induced silica SHII, dominate at low high fluences, respectively, causing crossover between them around fluence ∼4 × 1012 ions/cm2. Nevertheless, NPs detected by optical dichroism exhibits nearly linear dependence wide range ∼1 1011 2 1013 ions/cm2, indicating that hammering does not play an important role.Counterevidence role.
