摘要: Under tensile stress, concrete fails at low average strain but a high local due to nonuniform distribution. It is demonstrated that the use of optical interferometry with laser light both provides adequate sensitivity and allows measurement over wide field. The continuous capable detecting localization in zones very small width. shown also while gages would lead unobjective constitutive stress‐strain relations, interferometric on notched specimens art indirect determination stress‐separation relations. From knowledge these path fracture zone, value energy can be calculated. dissipated microcracked zone fraction final separation concrete.
