Composite system reliability evaluation using state space pruning

摘要: This paper presents a method of computing the reliability indices composite generation-transmission system by performing Monte Carlo simulation selectively on those regions state space where loss load states are more likely to occur. These isolated decomposition remove coherent acceptable subspaces. It is shown that this results in significant reduction number sampled states, thereby reducing computational effort required compute and bus indices. The assumes DC flow model, tested using IEEE Reliability Test System. proposed not intended replace existing variance techniques; fact, such techniques may be used conjunction with further improve its efficiency.
